I really like this film i can't help noticing one of the biggest plot holes in history...When the parties first enter the ship, there is an explosion and a ventilator collapses blocking off the way they came. But later in the film, one of the henchmen asks Telly Savalas "How Do We Get Out?" and he says "The Same Way We Came In". Then we next see them climbing out of the hole in the hull, how did they get past the ventilaor??

I would guess in a deleted scene, Telly brings some hand grenades and uses that (or something) to destroy the ventilator, but maybe that's just wishful thinking.
The whole movie should be listed as a goof. Why have the authorities (not to mention news media) abandoned the huge floating hulk? What keeps causing explosions--it's not as if it's a steamship with boilers? How is electricity still being generated so that all of the compartments are well-lit? Why is the interior of the ship level, even though it can be seen that only one end of the hull is above-water? Why is there a supply of SCUBA gear right at the spot where they happen to find a way out of the ship? Why did Telly Savalas go out to enter a wrecked ship wearing a white suit? Etc.
