Needs Part 3 - Return to Poseidon
This series needs a part 3, to complete the trilogy. Go ahead and chuckle, but hear me out.
With the year 2020 rapidly approaching, Poseidon is a rusting, damaged hulk lying some 180' under the surface in a remote area of the Atlantic ocean. While mapped, and dived a couple of times, the sunken, still upside ship has yet to be entered due to danger, and her hull being virtually impenetrable at that depth.
When a small earthquake near the Azores draws little attention to the islands, some old-time divers notice the epicenter is right near where Poseidon went down, and are cautiously curious. They hook up with some newer, very tech savvy divers who have the latest equipment, and take a trip to Poseidon where they find the quake has turned her somewhat upright. Upon diving the wreck, they come across adventure, treasures, and danger they never could have imagined, especially when finding a large, unopened safe wedged in the surprisingly well preserved wreckage. But there's one other problem, Poseidon has slid in the quake and now lies right on the edge of a trench, dropping off thousands of feet deep.
This could definitely be done with modern technology, and unless they completely screwed up the story, would have to be better than Beyond, and both of the awful remakes, no? Plus, it would complete the trilogy of the original Poseidon ship, making it fairly easy to promote.
