as the 1930 version, scene by scene?

is the 1930 version exactly like this scene by scene, or does the two movies have any really diffrent turnings?

what if there wasnt any curse words,
would you squint your eye or get physical to hurt,
mood swings,
suddenly overtaking are bad memories,
the power of feelings and thoughts,
goes to work and shifts it all,
the whole world turned ugly one mood,
strange, it looked beautiful an hour ago or two,
please treat me nice,
don't make me lose faith in the world and the whole human kind.

the 1930 is pretty different in many ways. Many of the points they focus on in the 1930 are left out in this newer version.

Himmelstoss was more of a coward...
The part about getting the boots from the friend with the amputated leg has a montage of that soldier marching happily in his new more comfortable boots only to die then you see another soldier wearing them happily...

I really think the 1930 version is better you ought to check it out!
