rite i got the brit carlton version with a run time of 123mins thats the version shown in the corner on the movie info. its got a pg rating but it says on the movie info page it says 150 mins i dont get it theres no mention of 123mins version is the 150 available ?

I translated some of the reviews of the film from your link and people are saying this is still a "cut-up" version of the original TV Version. Supposedly there is a German TV version and a USA TV Version which is the true directors cut of this film. Is there maybe a DVD of that version out there someplace?
shareThe German DVd is uncut - the problem most German buyers have is that the full version only has the additional scenes in English with German subtitles when they were originally broadcast on German TV with German dubbed sound.

oh my, that seems like alote of cutting, 30 minutes out of a movie. wonder if it's the violence they cut out, i thought it was very violent the way it was. i mean the 123 minute version i've seen.

On the box it says 130 minutes. When I put the DVD in the player, the timer displays 128 minutes. You have to remember this was on network television (CBS as I remember) - though not originally MADE for television - usually when they film things, anything just about, they always film more than they need and then cut it down, it's easier that way. If there's a foreign version, it's possible that indeed may have more on it because standards are different.
shareAs I was watching the DVD version, I remembered certain scenes I saw years ago that are missing, so I found my way here. Apparently the DVD I have (listed on label as 131 minutes) is missing about 19 minutes from the version I saw in the 1980s in school.
Don't know how to find the full version, unfortunately.
ive looked around and cant find one in the uk, theres a remake soon i think harry potter is in it (dear god let it be good) lol
