David Ogden Stiers?

Did David Ogden Stiers, of M*A*S*H fame (Maj. Charles Winchester), play the teacher at the beginning? He's not listed on the actors page, and it's not listed on David Ogden Stier's IMBD page.

The Teacher is played by Donald Pleasance. Known as Dr. Loomis in the original Halloween Series and he also act in the classic movie Fantastic Voyage.

Okay, thanks. I didn't catch the characters name during the movie, which would have helped as he's the third or fourth actor listed.

Or as Blofeld in 'You Only Live Twice'. This is the characterization that is parodied/hommaged in the Austin Powers film series.

If you can't distinguish between Donald Pleasance and David Ogden Stiers, you may need to visit both your optometrist and your audiologist. Donald Pleasance is a British actor of small physical stature, while Stiers is a big, strapping, much younger American actor. While they both have distinctive voices, they don’t sound alike. Pleasance made his mark in Hollywood with his outstanding performances in The Great Escape and many earlier movies before Stiers came onto the entertainment scene. About the only physical characteristic they have in common is baldness, but you wouldn’t also confuse Telly Savalas with Yul Brynner, would you?
