Theatrical Version in anamorphic 16x9 on sony movie channel

Beautiful transfer showing on sony movie channel. The only problem is it is missing the subtitles for the japanese and german dialog. I wish they would just release the director's cut on bluray but until then this is the best quality i've seen.

On most tv showings these days its cut quite a bit including the scene where Treat Williams is trying to force himself on Dianne Kay.

reply

You're not getting the full picture if it's presented in 16X9 (1.78:1) aspect ratio, as the proper perspective is 2.35:1.

Originality needs a reboot.

reply

My bad it was the full 2:35 to 1 aspect ratio. The 16x9 had black bars on it.

That bothered me also, so I went back and turned closed captioning on. All it says is: (SPEAKING JAPANESE) ... (SPEAKING GERMAN). 
