I have loved this show since I was little! Have just been reading the " Pure Evil" threads. What's wrong with you people? Everyone knows that the child- catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is the scariest character ever!! But, I digress. Does anyone know where Worzel Gummidge was filmed? I would love to know. It would be great for a visit, but I expect it's all been concreted over by now. The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there.
Thanks to everybody for that info. My brother used to live in Hampshire. What a small world!! I've probably already travelled through some of the locations without even realising! It's still a lovely part of England. Thanks again everyone. A Happy New Year to you all, or should I say...hworaworpworpworyworzel nworeworwworzel yworeworaworrworzel!!

I live in the area and fortunatly nothings changed much. The main bulk is filmed in Braishfield and Kings Sombourne with occasional filming in Romsey, Stockbridge and Winchester. All fairly close together. I still get a nostalgia buzz when I drive through and see Mr Sheperds house, the Braithwaits Farm and house and Mrs Bloomsbury Barton's Mansion. The courtyard where Worzels Barn was is still all very familiar, although the Barns have recently been converted into offices, while still looking like Barns!
Do you still the farm and the bloomsbury barton mansion, has it changed much? what about the mansion does someone live in there? i loved worzel i watched them again just recently it brings back such memories..
Yes I still see the farm every few months. There are a few businesses there now including a car workshop where i go frequently. But it's hardly changed at all. the old farm house (right next to the courtyard where worzels barn is) which the braithwait's had, is just the same!
I dont know much about the Bloomsbury Barton Mansion except you can just about see it on the main Romsey to Stockbridge Road. You cant get too near it. I think the inside has been converted for business use but i'm not sure.
Mr shepherds white thatched house is completely unchanged, as are all the small lanes where Worzel and Aunt Sally used to walk.
The lane that John and Sue ride the Horse and Cart through chasing worzel in the back of the lorry, with the small shop in the background with corrogated roof? - all unchanged!
hi matt what village are the farmhouse, mrs bloomsbury bartons mansion,mr shepherds and the courtyard in cos i would love to visit next summer if it still looks pretty similiar thx.
