I've always wondered why in the pilot episode the opening scene Trapper has a picture of himself and Hawkeye on the wall.

In the MASH episode Welcome to Korea Hawkeye complains that Trapper left without saying goodbye.
In the series finale Hawkeye complains that BJ left without saying bye as did Trapper.

I guess we can assume that Hawkeye and Trapper reconnected at some point after the war?

the show is a spinoff of the movie, not the TV series mash (they only used the pic of Alan Alda and Wayne Rogers because it was the same studio and network).

in the original movie, Hawkeye and Forrest arrived before trapper, and went home before Trapper.
