I may have found this amusing as s child over 30 years ago but today find Audrey an atrocious character. Her attitude towards others and especially her much put upon lifelong best friend major is appalling.

That is so true about her behavior to marjory. It was hard to belive that marjory puts up being treated lik a servant. I would listen for info on marjorysbackground. She went to the same school as audry, I can't imagine they were from that much of a differnt class.

shareWell, I think the episodes show that while she was quite snobbish and dictatorial, she also had a good heart, and she really did think she was doing what was best and what she was bred to do. It just never occurred to her that she could be wrong about anything.
Also, not to reduce it down to baser reasons, but I must say, PK/Af-H was damn beautiful! Just an absolutely radiant smile, expressive eyes, very elegant, and quite the figure as well.
I love Audrey! I wouldn't want her attitude turned towards me but I think she's fun to watch. I have a soft spot for certain "stuck up" characters like Audrey and Hermione and characters Julia Stiles usually plays. I preferred Hermione in the earlier Harry Potter movies when she thought she was better and smarter than everyone else and didn't hesitate to correct people.
shareYes she was stuck up but as another poster mentioned she had a good heart which was evident, especially towards any injustices towards the local people, she would go to bat for them and that certainly doesn't make her atrocious.
