i am a big fan of the star blazer series, watched it as a kid after school everyday. I watched another show as well. It was about 3 robots, one a giant golden robot, the other was a silver female robot that is normal size and a little boy robot that looks like a kid but with antenna. i was a japanese program along the same lines as ultraman. If any one knows what the name of this show or how to get copies of it. please let me know. thank you

Hey there. Thats great that you had a question on a missing show, and someone knew the answer. I'd like to try that.

I went to a Movie in the theater, kids show, when I was in gradeschool or perhaps junior high. Don't remember the movie, but was probably ET or a star wars or something like that. I saw an Anime series that reminded me a LOT of Star Blazers! (But I think Star Blazers had already gone off the air where I was living.) I kept thinking that perhaps it had the same writers, even though different Characters/voices/p lot. However I had never seen Jap Anime before, except for Star Blazers, so perhaps it was something else.

Anyway, this happened completely in outer space. There were relatively few main characters, and the name Captain Harlock or Henchork or something like that seemed to come to memory. I remember that there was a rather unstable ship/port/dock floating in space, and the main character fought for his life though the perils of it to survive. There was a girl in it too. The thing that stood out the most to me was having some ship, with a captain somewhat like Star Blazers, except this guy seemed to have a patch on his eye, if i remember correctly. I remember that it was pretty fast moving, and it sorta scared me even at parts.

Whatever this show was, it obviously short, because it prededed a full-length feature film. Any ideas what it could have been??

Sorry, the link didn't copy right into my previous post. harlocksaga should be one word in the link. I dont't know why the "s" and the "a" in saga is separating when I post the message. Once again, I hope this is what you are looking for.

Oh my gosh... you already found it! I remembered that the main guy looked something like Derek Wildstar, but had a skull and bones on his chest, dressed in black. This is definately it! Thank you. :)

Coug,

Don't know about the movie but the link suggested works and coincides with "Captain Harlock and the Queen of a Thousand Years" that ran on TV back in '85. According to the info on IMDB, it ran for 65 episodes. I loved watching it on Saturday mornings since "Star Blazers" was off the air.

Yes! Its very possible that what I saw was a 22 minute episode of this series. The year makes sense, and it did remind me a lot of Star Blazers. I'll look more into it. Thanks. :)
