'Desslok's Turning' (Episode 2-24)
There are some people out there who have said that this episode starts with one of the best scenes ever produced for a Japanese Anime production.

That is one of the only episodes I have on VHS, from when I bought the Comet Empire series (& loaned it out to my friends.) The final 3 tapes were with one guy when I passed the remainder of the series along to another.
I was able to get the 3 Tape finale returned to me, & I watch it almost once a year. It's one of my favorites of anything and gets me every time.
I agree, one of the best scenes - prolly the best played out - animation, music, the morality of war...
and in a close second, I think the battle in the Rainbow galaxy with Lysis and his subsequent(suicide) was heart wretching....pretty good stuff
