No, no one's releasing this, but it was a nice daydream. I think a hypothetical game like this would definitely sell with the fans.

For those that don't know, MMORPG means Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.

Like Everquest, Star Wars Galaxies, World of Warcraft.

Set it in the time of season 2 so you can have more than one battleship. The Argo/Yamato would likely be unavailable. But you could fly around in an Andromeda class ship.

I know they'de never do one based on Star Blazers/Space Cruiser Yamato, though.

Looks like Star Trek Online (if it ever comes out) will be the closest thing to it.

I totally agree. The Star Blazers universe would be a great setting for a MMORPG.

Unfortunately, it will probably never happen. However, you might want to check out Eve Online also. I just purchased the background music CDs to Star Blazers (Space Battleship Yamato) and use it as background music for that game. It definitely adds a lot to the gaming experience.
