Does anyone have any information on the new reboot of the series? I just saw some clips of the new CGI Yamato (Argo), and it looks pretty sleek.
It's a kids' show, but I'm still interested in it.
I didn't know they were even considering doing a reboot of the Yamato series. That's great news. Do you have a link to some update information or news?
I know they are considering doing a live action movie or series about Yamato but the project seems to be tied up in limbo over legalities and stuff. There seems to be a lot or rumoured changes like changing the names of the central characters, and changing the name from Yamato/Argo to USS Arizona or something like that.

As far as I've been able to discern there are two potential projects in teh works. One is a live action movie that was supposed to comeout in 2008, but's been delayed to 2010. Also one of the original creators of the series has been able to obtain all the neccesary rights fomr one of his co-creators and is producing a new cartoon based on a similar story as can be found on the web-comic at Starblazers.com
