Class

Rumpole is easily my favourite character on or off TV, in or out of books. It is a shame that the wit and class of these works will be lost of those beginning their adult lives now. This show, along with Yes Minister, are fine examples of what comedy can be.

I couldn't agree more. Rumpole had a wonderful brand of humour and style that is unrivaled by today's programmes. Easily one of my favourites. Reginald Perrin runs a close second.
