Matey (Marguerite Ballard) in Lord Peter Wimsey

I was watching "Have His Carcase" (Lord Peter Wimsey) when I recognized Matey. Her role was an emotional one and it was interesting to see Matey as a dramatic character. Matey was a guest at a hotel and had fallen in love with one of the staff dancers. Except for the bad wig and make-up she was still our Matey from down the Bailey.

Also, the actress playing Harriet Vane was the real life love interest of our Sam Ballard. They had reportedly lived together for 8 years and were planning to marry at the time of his death.

Speaking of Rumpole actors in other show, I saw Moray Watson (George Frobisher) in a Campion episode. It was strange because his Mr. Watson's manner of speaking, and his mannerisms that he used for the character, were so very much like those of George Frobisher's!
