You can catch Peter Blythe (Soapy Sam) in the first season of Pie in the Sky.
He's in one episode and has an excellent role as a bigoted business man who lives in an upscale community.
Mr. Blythe was taken from us far too soon (2004) so I'm always delighted when I come across him quite by accident in a role other than Head of Chambers.
He is also in one of the David Suchet-as-Poirot episodes. I do not remember which one but he was excellent.
Oh, and speaking of that Poirot series, David Yelland (Nick Rumpole) was also in one of the episodes as an MP who finds out his fiance has been killed.
Thanks for the info. I do remember seeing Nick Rumpole in something. I recognized his voice first because he looks more mature now. Wikipedia says he played Poirot's valet.
His daughter, Hannah Yelland, is in Poirot's Lord Edgeward Dies.
I number Rumpole and Poirot among my top 10 favorites.
