DVD Region 2 released in Germany

Finally here in Germany the 1980 BBC version of Pride and Prejudice was released by the Label NewKSM on DVD Region 2. It has the german dubbing as well as the original language track in English, but no subtitles. Both in Dolby Digital 2.0.
There only a few extras, such as other trailers from this label, a gallery and cast biographies. The price is about 35 - 40 Euros.
You can order it at some good german online stores, such as: www.jpc.de, www.amazon.de...

Now I own three versions of P & P: the BBC 1980 version, the uncut BBC & AE 1995 version (in Germany it was dubbed and cut to 270 Min., shame of our broadcast corp.) and the new motion picture version of 2005. It is interesting and funny to watch the different versions and their approach to the story.

I'm so glad you'll be able to see P&P 1980. It's still my favorite version.

Do you have any idea as when the DVD Region 2 will be released in the UK? I think that it's a bit silly that the BBC hasn't done it yet...also because the videotape version doesn't seem to be available anymore for purchasing. and does any of you know where I can find more info about this?
thanks a lot!

If it's region 2, you can probably buy it from Germany but use the English language track.
