Characters' Musical Themes

As I was watching this version of P&P today, one of the most delightful parts to me was the musical theme which accompanied Mr. Collins. It captured him so well!

In the 1995 version, Mr. Darcy's theme is beautiful, wistful, and melts my heart every time (if you're not sure what I'm referring to, you can hear it during his bathtub scene, among others).

The only other 2 themes that have really struck me regarding characters was the vampire discovery theme in Twilight (that repeated half-step was the best part of the movie) and, of course, Darth Vader's theme .

I thought I'd mention it because I barely notice the music in many of the 70's/80's miniseries, and it really stood out in this version--and I thought it was brilliant!

*nods* it definitely adds to the ridiculousness of an already ridiculous character. I think it's one of the reasons why I'm always laughing when he's on screen

Is it just me, or does the leitmotif for Mr. Collins sound sorta similar to the Pink Panther theme? It did for me, which made it all the more hilarious everytime Mr. Collins pops up!

And now these three remain: Faith, Hope, and Love. But the greatest of these is Love.
