Kitty looked too old to play the part. It just really stood out to me that she couldn't be a teenager! Maybe it's just me.

shareI saw her as Cleopatra with the RSC many years ago. All I could think of when I first realised she was in this P&P adaptation was her shouting 'Villan, I'll unhair thy head' and beating up the unfortunate messanger who'd just told her Mark Anthony was married. She was v. scary!
Claire H was 25 whan she played Lydia, compared to the actress playing Lydia being 20. I agree she looks a little too old to be playing a 17/18 year old.

shareI've never been fond of any of either Kitty or Lydia in this production. No, that's being kind - I find both actresses' performances noticeably more artificial and awkward than the rest of the cast. On the other hand, this is the only adaptation where Jane is by far the most beautiful of the Bennet sisters.
