My DVR connection was out the very day that WMEU started showing Season 3, and I missed the first episode of Season 3: "Harts and Flowers".
If anyone has this and can make a recording for me (VHS or DVD-R or DVD+R), I'm willing to send you $10 + postage. I can send to your PO Box or home address, whatever you prefer. (I do a lot of buying on ebay so I'm used to sending people money.)
You can reply on this thread or send me a private message through IMDb by clicking on my screen name.
Ok, I do have it, but the thing is we're not sure how to get it off the dvr. My husband is looking into what we can do, but ... it's not looking good. If I can get it to a place I can give you digital access I'll let you know. Do I have a review of that one? I'll check.
I really appreciate you trying, Hilary, thanks! Even a simple VHS copy, or if you can somehow upload it to the web or something. (I own a DVD recorder which is how I usually do it.)
Can you at least let it stay on your DVR (not deleting it) in case you or your husband figure out a way? That episode is worth at least $10 to you. :)
Anyway, I'll bet you're happy that Season 3 is finally on TV again!
Visual, FYI, I haven't forgotten about you. I'm just overwhelmed by holiday stuff and have run out of time. However, I'm not letting it fall off the Tivo, I'll keep it until we know for sure what we can do. I promise to get back to you soon!
That's very nice of you, Hilary, thanks! I really appreciate that. You're my only road to the "Harts and Flowers" episode!
My own DVR is filling up with HtH because I'm not watching any of Season 3 (or the Season 4 episodes on Sundays) until I see the Season Three Premiere. :)
Thanks for asking, Kimbooley, very kind of you. Yeah, HtH is still being shown on the same channel and I eventually saw that episode.
However, just when they were about to show Season 5, they skipped it and went back to Season 1. It's pretty frustrating...I don't think they realize or care that Seasons 1-2 are already available on DVD, and they would get the most viewership for their commercials by showing Seasons 3, 4, and 5.
Looks like we'll have to wait for 2014 to see if they'll show Season 5, or whether they'll skip Season 5 again when the time comes. It's so absurd.
A) Season 5 was god-awful. There were a handful of gems, but mostly, s5 was ... reeeeeally bad. It's so depressing. Not that you shouldn't see it or want to see it! I would be annoyed, too, if I hadn't already seen it. Just saying, you're not missing all that much.
B) They're going once a week now? I think the channel changed, is it on MeTV? When? My DVR isn't picking it up anymore. But I believe it's just once a week now and not every day. If that's the case, you know they'll change their mind on scheduling before 2014, and we may get it more often again.
C) Have you tried youtube for soem of these eps that aren't out on DVD? Annoying way to watch for sure, but I think alot of them are out there. In, uh, pieces ...
Thanks again, Hilary. Sorry to hear that about Season 5, but maybe I'll like them a little better than that, who knows. Anyway I'm still curious to see them since I've seen all the other ones (except the "Season 6" TV-Movies, are those available on DVD??)
Yeah, WMEU is still showing a two-hour block of HtH on Sunday mornings from 11am-1pm. "Mystery Sunday"
It's kind of strange the way their source distributor selects which episodes to give them. They usually show them in broadcast order for the most part. However, they recently jumped from the end of Season 4 all the way back to Season 1 for a few months, and now back to Season 5.
But they ended up skipping a lot of episodes from the beginning of Season 5. These are the ones they skipped which I hope they do decide to show at some point without making us wait another year and a half.
"Hartstruck" Season 4 Ep 20 (4/12/83)
"Straight Through the Hart" Season 5 Ep 2 (10/4/83)
Greetings, Just noticed tonight that Netflix here in Canada has added the series for streaming. All 5 seasons are available, with the exception of the last 10 episodes from season 5. Still, I'm more than happy. Hopefully it is available in the US as well.
