Only familiar with his work (which I love) in Law & Order and would like to see a good film performance of his. Thank you.

Yes. The character he plays is very different from Ben Stone. Unfortunately there's not as much of him in this film as I would like, but it is still worth seeing.

You might think about renting Bang the Drum Slowly - Moriarty is very good in it.

Or "Q - The Winged Serpent". Hilariously trashy B-movie spoof where he gives a great comic performance.

Moriarity is absolutely brilliant in this movie which is an underrated masterpiece.
