Hoffman/Grosbard DVD commentary

Great commentary track for this film, but clearly spliced together from separate tracks. Either they recorded their tracks in separate locations out of convenience, or they're still feuding, I guess.

I agree. The commentary track was very enjoyable and informative. I especially liked when Hoffman talks about how he improvised the scene where he pulls M. Emmet Walsh's pants down after handcuffing him to the fence.

Look nonchalant and keep on smiling.

Yeah, straight out of his own high school experience did Hoffman pull that one out. Also, I never realized what an integral role that Eddie Bunker played on the set. What a great film. I wonder if anyone strives for this sort of realism anymore.
