great acting
the second half of the movie falls apart a little, but still a semi-unknown hoffman gem. as someone who has spent some time in jail-- i must say it is the most real movie i have ever seen in terms of how it feels to be locked up.
shareReally, I thought the first half fell apart. Not a great movie in my book and I don't know why everyone says its Hoffman's best performance. No where near as good as his work in Midnight Cowboy, Little Big Man, Rain Man, Lenny or even The Graduate.
