The Ballad of Cable Hogue and Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid will be out early 2006. If you listen to the commentary on Major Dundee you will notice that they act like all of the Peckinpah titles are out on dvd remastered.
The studio was to release a Peckinpah box, but got caught up in the rights.
Same ole BS.

a lot of the films you mention, only get a release if there is demand. a lot of these films are fairly unknown, for example, only this year did i find out Hoffman starred in Straight Time while looking down his filmography. now, i want to see this.

i still believe that are five Mel Brooks films currently unavaliable in the US and there is much demand for them to be released, especially Robin Hood. titles are High Anxiety, Silent Movie, 12 chairs, Robin Hood, To be or not to be

there are still some Sidney Lumet films unavaliable in the US, this includes Prince of the City, The Hill (needs desperate restortation work), Garbo Talks.
Fugitive Kind was released recently

there are still some Al Pacino titles unavaliable in the US, this includes Revolution (why, anyone wants this), Cruising (a directors cut was being considered), Bobby Deerfield (the big flop)

Bernardo Bertollucio's 1900
Warren Beatty's Reds

1900 (1977) I love that movie. Not many people know about it, I hope it will be the long version with subtitles.I have a 15 year old VHS of it and it would be nice to see this film restored.

I have no idea why 1900 has not been released in the US. There is a region 2 DVD that was released over the summer and it's one of the most requested DVD's on Amazon. The execs at Paramount are foolish.

BREWSTER MCCLOUD
IF...
O LUCKY MAN!
STRAIGHT TIME
REDS(from the 80s but still fantastic)

There are plenty more but those are some essentials.

On the message boards for O Lucky Man there is a link to a post that mentions Malcolm McDowell has recently recorded audio commentary tracks for O Lucky Man and A Clockwork Orange for upcoming DVD releases.

Missouri Breaks has been released on DVD. it has been available since last November (NTSC format)

a note to add, before Brewster McCloud gets a release, Warner need to find a widescreen transfer, hopefully it will be out by 2008.

Missouri Breaks, Ballad of Cable Hogue, Last American Hero - have all been released on DVD.

The Passenger is coming this month, Seven Ups in May, and Emperor of the North Pole in June.
