Great movie.

Got to love Dustin Hoffman`s performance. Fantastic actor. Harry Dean Stanton was also great.

I felt that the performances were uniformly terrific. I just felt that the serious plot hole of Hoffman going back to shack up with Russell and not getting immediately caught after he had told the parole officer that he had a date with the girl that got him the job at the can factory was too big of a disconnect. Otherwise I enjoyed the movie.

I agree that Hoffman was great. It's interesting, however, that Edward Bunker hated the casting of Hoffman for the Max role. He thought that Hoffman did not make for a credible, hardened criminal. Perhaps his opinion evolved over time. Initially, he thought Tarantino's dialog for Reservoir Dogs was ridiculous, in a bad way. He later realized how well it worked - that it was intended to be ridiculous - and came to be a fan of Tarantino's stylized gangster verbiage.

I shall have to disagree. I though this film was mediocre at best. BUMP

And oh yeah, Reservoir Dogs was MUCH better than this.

Never cared for Tarantino much, so I have to side with the other guy, I'm afraid.
