Don't know if there are any plans to release this movie on DVD. for now I know you can find it at Modcinema. hope that info helps!
shareIt's a Columbia title and Columbia/Sony now has a made-on-demand line of dvds of lesser studio titles and their website encourages fan requests via email, send 'em one!
shareNo, don't! This movie was terrible!
shareI'd say it was an interesting failure.
It had an eminent scriptwriter, a more than capable director, a decent cast and crew but somehow the tone is uncertain and there seem to be quite a few off-screen lines dubbed in to make points clearer or possibly to cover scenes which have been cut.
There seems to be an air of panic about some of the score including the odd horrible "this is supposed to be really funny!" musical cue more suited to a cheap sitcom. I find it difficult to believe that someone as classy and experienced as composer Alex North set out with this in mind.

SLIGHT SPOILER
At one point the door to a fridge where a dead body is being stored swings open. There is an optical zoom in (done in post-production) to avoid seeing the body - which would have been visible in the original framing. I can only assume that the sight of the body was thought to be too unpleasant.
We also didn't see any of the previous manhandling of the body, which makes me wonder if some horrible reactions either amongst studio executives or at preview screenings were followed by radical re-editing and re-scoring to get rid of some of the blacker black-comedy scenes.
I really want to revisit this film. With the untimely passing of Farrah Fawcett, I really hoped and expected her films to hit the home video market.
