This Needs DVD Release

Silent Partner is one of the greatest suspense movies EVER made. I saw this movie when came out at theaters in the late 70's. I believe we were going to see Alien , but it was sold out so we settled on this. Boy am I glad that Alien was sold out that night. I had no idea what a treat I was in for. Anyway, the fact that this hasn't gotten a DVD release yet is crazy. There are all kinds of crap movies that get put out on disc. Whats the story?

I'm a huge fan of this movie as well - it's been released on VHS a few times, what's the holdup?

I am a HUGE fan of this movie also! The last time I saw it was on HBO in the late '70's and it truly gave me chills. I highly recommend it to anybody who enjoys an "edge of your seat" movie because it kept me thrilled to the very end.

Good news! It's coming to US DVD on April 11th 2006. Let's hope that there are lots of extras. Let's also hope that it gets released in the UK (Region 2) on DVD at the same time!!

No, that release is probably the 2005 film, starring Tara Reid:

Nowhere on the Net points to this release being the brilliant and elusive 1978 gem starring Elliot Gould, unfortunately.
