Man this movie was awsome, are there any great movies like this?

This movie is probably my favorite martial arts movie next to Kill Bill, unfortunately I have only seen a few other martial arts movies (Enter the Dragon, Hero, Kiss of the Dragon, The Street Fighter (I through III)). I was wondering if there were any other Martial arts movies that were really good like this one? How about Master of the Flying Guillotine, I heard that movie was pretty good too...

Well, as my name suggests, I'd recommend Drunken Master I and II, also "The Young Master" and "Fearless Hyena" (ONLY part 1, avoid the second one like the plague! ). These (with the exception of DMII) are all basically the same plot as "Master Killer," but they all have their own unique flavor. I also recommend "Pedicab Driver."

Please keep this topic going (I'm always looking for recommendations from other fans) and let me know what you thought of these.

Sweet, thanks man, I will definitely check these films out. Also, have you seen "Shaolin and Wu Tang," I just finished watching it and I thought it was great; the shaolin training scenes in it reminded me of "Shaolin Master Killer."

Yes, Master of The Flying guillotine is a good movie.

A few other Kung Fu films that I would recommend and that are easily accessible are:

Five Deadly Venoms
Shaolin vs. Lama
Iron Monkey

These can all be found at your local Blockbuster, at least at mine.

If you ever plan on purchasing some of old school Kung Fu flicks, in particular Shaw Brothers films, get films distributed by Celestial. The quality is amazing. A downside is that they are only formatted for region 3 DVD players. In this case, you would need a multi-region DVD player.

If you're a fan of Kill Bill's Gordon Liu, QT was inspired by watching these old-school Gordon vehicles:

Heroes of the East
Clan (Fists) of the White Lotus
Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang
Return to the 36th Chamber
Legendary Weapons of China
Martial Club
Dirty Ho
8 Diagram Pole Fighter

...and with early supporting roles in these kick-ass KF flicks:

5 Shaolin Masters
Marco Polo
7 Man Army
Shaolin Martial Arts
Executioners of Shaolin

You can't go wrong with any of these.

Another more recent Gordon movie was Last Hero in China. (dubbed is Deadly China Hero). It's by Wong Jing so has a lot of Chinese humor in it. This was sort of a comeback for him to play a fairly important role in a Jet Li vehicle.

Jet and Gordon fight, rare and not to be missed.

There are lots, dude.

Some of my favorite Shaw Brothers films with martial arts include:
Intimate Confessions of a Chinese Courtesan
Eight Diagram Pole Fighter
The Magic Blade
Vengeance
The Boxer From Shantung
The New One Armed Swordsman
The Chinese Boxer
The Lady Hermit
My Young Auntie

Basically, if you watch anything from the above list, you're good.

I recently saw a movie called "Shaolin Wooden Men." It's one of Jackie Chan's Pre 80's flicks. It was alot like Master Killer. (In my humble opinion.)
