It's about time someone put out a good version of this and other great Shaw Brothers' movies. Thank You Dragon Dynasty!!!!!!!
This movie was released as The 36th Chamber of Shaolin this past Tuesday along with 3 others: King Boxer (The Five Fingers of Death), The One-Armed Swordsman, & My Young Auntie. Search for and enjoy!
hell yeah man, nice to see you again. i got this one first, then the next day i got five fingers of death (king boxer). i was wondering man, do you think it is worth getting the one armed swordsman and my young auntie. ive never saw them, besides the long fight trailers and was just curious....
I have everything Dragon Dynasty has put out, they're all worth buying except maybe Infernal Affairs parts 2 & 3, I found them very confusing. I'm watching My Young Auntie right now and I'm enjoying it very much. Also look for Liu Chia-Hui (Gordon Liu) as James in My Young Auntie, a bit part but funny.
I hope Dragon Dynasty will put out more Gordon Liu titles, he's my favorite Kung Fu star.
no doubt man. i picked up the one armed swordsman on monday. im going to try and pick up "my young auntie", sometime this week. yeah man, gordon liu is awesome. i cant wait for "the quentin tarantino collection", im hoping it has "come drink with me", in the set...
Just watched My Young Auntie last night. What a blast! The last 30-40 minutes is practically all action. Haven't watched One-Armed Swordsman yet, that's next on my list.
Yeah, I LOVE Dragon Dynasty! I mean, I can't believe it took so long for Police Story to get a Special Edition DVD release (and Dragon Dynasty finally did it)! I haven't seen 36th Chamber (Master Killer) yet. I am really looking forward to it.
As a side note, 'Come Drink With Me' is availible on region 1 DVD. No, its not a Dragon Dynasty release but it is availible.
hkflix has just about every shaw brothers film available. i just dont perticularly like some of the transfers that have been done on so many of these type of films. i was just sayin as much as quentin talks about certain films, im about positive that one will be in there.
What's confusing about IA 2 and 3? The third, I can understand is kinda confusing at first but after a 2nd or 3rd viewing, you'll get it down in no time. Overall, the trilogy is miles better than the Departed.
Eh, I'm very unhappy with their release of Hard Boiled. They had a chance to make a really good version of a genre classic and instead we get a crappy release with dubtitles.
