Preston ex machina!! SPOILER...if anything can spoil this bizarro movie

"Deus ex machina" ("God on a machine") refers to classical Greek/Roman plays where some fool actor dressed as god would be lowered down on a crane to fix everyone's problems and provide a happy ending.

Well hold on to your scrolls, Sophocles. Because in this movie we have Billy Preston (the guy who originally played the electric piano in "Get Back") floating down from the rooftop shooting laser beams of love, resurrecting the dead and fixing everything while rockin out to "Get Back". Has there ever been a more AWESOME ending in the history of anything ever?

I think the Billy Preston ending even beats the flying car and Olivia Newton John in tight black spandex for movie endings.

actually i always thought that the sudden appearance of preston as the spirit of the original sergeant pepper was a hallucination billy shears had on the way down, kind of an 'owl creek bridge moment'

my wife at the time and i had a major argument over this, she wanted the fluffy bunny deux ex machina ending
