Did I hear an 'Oprah' reference?
I could have sworn I heard Shake mention Oprah. Was she around in '77?

It sounds like Billy Clyde telling Shake "I wouldn't send Oprah to see that woman"
But that can't be right. Oprah didn't come around until the 80's.
Actually she had a career before she was famous. This was made in '77 so it's possible. Maybe she had a reputation in a smaller market first.

If you turn on the subtitles he says: "I wouldn't send Hooper to see that woman." Referencing the character in the film played by Richard Masur.
