The problem with this movie
isn't that it was made, but that it was made with such poor actors. How well could Malle speak English? Was he aware the actor playing Bellocq was messing up his lines so badly?
shareCarradine was at his best in those years, and so was Sarandon. And Malle wasn't doing something new, he made movies in English already, and his wife Candice Bergen also probably knew some English...
