Temperature taking scene went to cutting room floor?

I read that there was a scene which eventually was cut from the movie where Brooke's character Violet had become ill, was being attended to by a doctor. a There supposedly was a good deal of (Brooke's body double's)butt showing either with the double actually getting a thermometer used rectally or the scene shot in such a way that it came very close to it. Has anybody ever heard this or something similar? Though not having seen the movie, from what I've read...it caused quite the uproar for 12 y/o Brooke to do some partially-nude scenes, so one where a rectal temperature sequence was set up, it wouldn't necessarily be out of character with the movie's showing of partial nudity, albeit a "medical" situation.
