Roger Corman's Version Is Much Better!
I saw Roger Corman's version before i saw this one, and i think the remake is better than than this one. I mean the thing that ruined this movie was the stupid stop motion animal in the lab. i mean WTF!!!
shareBoth versions are made by Roger Corman and the remake is terrible. How can the film be better when the script is recycled and all the underwater effects shot have been taken from this movie? So all the terrible effects you're complaining about are re-used in the other version.

I see the remake on TV ever so often, it's not too bad. I haven't seen the original in probably a decade.
The remake sucks! It's mildly amusing at times but the only people who would consider it any good at all when compared to the '78 original are the same little teenage kids who think "old movies are boring".
