Anyone else notice the opening shot lifted from CITIZEN KANE?

Joe Dante has never been one to shy away from the film-buff references but for a novice director that was kinda audacious.

Hehe. Yeah, I noticed it. How come Dante doesn't mention it on the DVD commentary? Guess he wants us to figure it out for ourselves.
