Just post what you think were some of the most unrealistic scenes of the entire movie, piranha's or no piranha's.
Mine would have to be when the piranha's somehow manage to pull the girl out of the hoop, which is pretty impossible. Piranha's in no way could abide that much force...
Remember though these are no ordinary Piranha's! They have been genetically modified to be larger, stronger and a lot more fierce.

For me, I think the most unrealistic bit is when one of the camp leaders thinks that the whole drawing on the leg thing would work. What a twat.

When the scientist is trying to save that kid by holding him above the water while the piranahs were tearing his ribcage to bits. If you're in that much pain your reflexes/survival instinct would take over and you would drop the kid and try to get the damn things off of you.
1. It is highly unrealistic for piranhas to rip off the bikinis of a woman. They don’t act like men.
2. A small girl would not go out on an inflatable raft to save two hottie teachers. It is even more unrealistic that the raft was not swamped and crushed by swimmers who were about to become fish food.
Piranhas don't attack people, period. They are scared of people. They have been known to feed of of dead human corpses on occasion.
I think people's expectations of this film are pretty unrealistic. It is just a simple monster movie not to be taken so seriously. It isn't intended to be a thought provoking nature documentary about aquatic wildlife, just a Jaws-type killer fish movie. I think people should sit back, relax, and enjoy the film.

When the man was sitting on his little pier fishing and the piranha attacked his feet. I don't know about you but if something sharp and painful cuts into my foot while it is dangling in the water I instantly jerk my feet out. I don't just sit there....leaving both feet in the water while I'm being eaten. Uhhhh, did you ever think about lifting your feet up by about a foot and getting them out of the water? No? You want to just keep screaming all the while leaving your legs fully submerged and de-fleshed.
shareThis is just one of those movies that requires you to check your brain at the door and just enjoy it. It was cheesy but fun to watch. I remember when this came out Jaws was still fresh in my memory and I thought "Oh look, they substituted a shark with a school of mutated fish".
I would have to agree with the last post about the old man. If I had my feet in the water and something started biting them I'd pull them out. I would say that scene was unrealistic in that sense.
