Bunchie?
What exactly was she? It sounded like she was Cosmo's girlfriend but he didn't exactly seem to be that close to her. Was she a hooker or something?

shareI think she was a hooker but I think she was also an old friend of Cosmo's from the neighborhood. They had a soft spot for each other and turned to each other for comfort from time to time. But I do think she was a hooker because Cosmo calls her "a professional bed warmer." But she wasn't hard core or anything. She just did what she had to do to get by during the tough depression.
shareOk, gracias!
shareshe was a prostitute and Cosmo just went to see her all the time
read the book
it comes highly recommended by Sly fans
{it was the first book he wrote....i really enjoyed it}
agreed!
shareIt's not the Depression as it is post World War 2.
Sly comments how he did some things to make himself ineligible for the army,
(grew his hair long, wore an earring, jumped off something to give himself flat feet (LOL))
but his brother Armand Assante served, and has a permanent limp.
I didn't read the book, I was not aware there was one.
I kind of assumed Bunchie was an old friend, who had to turn tricks to make ends meet. And Cosmo would pay for her time.
Yes good point. It WAS post-war and not The Depression.
shareShe was a prostitute. And from what I picked up, her and Cosmo were friends with benefits for a long time, but they clearly had feelings for each other as well. Hence how they ended up being together.
shareShe is a hooker. in the movie on christmas stallone says to her
you be alone here bunchie when i come back
