You're not going to believe this but...
I read the novelization back in the day, and in the novel they kept referring to Stork as some sort of nerdy genius who was a whiz with a slide rule.

It's really sad that things have come to this. That there's a group of people who enjoy life, and another group of people who want to take that joy away. What a sour, bitter, disgusting direction society has taken.

Although I think its now clear Trump just says whatever he thinks people want to hear - could be just anther entry in the upcoming encyclopedia of Trump lying on tape.
It is a tough question. Trump certainly serves the uptight, but we know he likes to bang porn stars and younger women. I think he might ultimately have been offended by some of the Deltas' seeming lack of ambition.
