What Belushi chugged in that Jack Daniels bottle? I'm guessing it was flat coca cola.

From Belushi's rep as a hard party guy in real life,I wouldn't be surprised if was Straight Jack he was chugging.

No, no, it was real. When AMC did a behind the movie thing with the cast and crew, somebody explained they were going to run a tube down his neck to make it look like he was actually drinking the whole bottle as fast as he was, but John told them 'I can drink that, no problem', and he did. He drank so much, he was on so many pills when they did Blues Brothers, it's really a wonder he didn't die sooner.

I looked it up and it was tea my friend, the thing you watched was probably just trying to glorify his hard partying lifestyle.

Or the "I can drink that" referred to chugging a bottle of iced tea and not needing the hose.

According to those in the know, in the "BEHIND THE SCENES" on the "Secret Double Probation DVD", it was tea.

It's strong iced tea. You can clearly see bubbles at the end of his monster chucg. Jack does bubble.
