I just watched this after not having seen it in many, many years. No need to go into how little I liked it after having loved it when I was much younger.

Anyhoo, what struck me as crazy is that in 1978 Kevin Bacon played a college freshman in Animal House, rather convincingly, and then 7 years later played a high-school senior in Footloose--and I totally bought it when I saw it in the cinema. Amazing.

Other actors who played high schoolers after playing college students- John Cusack ("The Sure Thing", "Say Anything") & Emma Stone ("The House Bunny", "Easy A").

This movie is Kevin Bacon's connection to Elvis....Im not going to say which actor...but if you like the Kevin Bacon game you can figure it out.
