I saw this and...what did I just watch? why does this have the reputation it does? maybe you had to be there when it first came out? it was just one big raunchy joke, I guess I'm one of those that didn't get it.

shareI posted because i wanted to voice my opinion same as you have. btw, I LOOVE Harold ramis, he was always a favorite of mine, very talented writer, director, even actor lol, HOWEVER, this movie was hard to believe he was a part of. it just didn't have the smarter sorta humor that his other movies had. caddyshack is another one i didn't get. i saw the movie, after my dad had been quoting for years, and really tried to enjoy it, but these 2 films are just hard for me to laugh at. they have moments, but i would much rather watch there other films especially the later ones post ghostbusters. hard to believe the same guy who wrote and directed the wonderful Groundhog Day also wrote animal house. I guess i was just never into raunchy humor. I'm one of the people that could have done without ray getting his dick "slimed" in the first ghostbusters. it was kinda...akward.
