Things I love about The Last Waltz:
1. Never have two prettier or more stylish men shared a stage...Rick and Robbie are GORGEOUS.
2. Wonderful music.
3. Great line-up of guests, Joni, Bob and Van being the icing on the cake.
4. The whole live experience, watching all these musicians work together on stage and have fun doing it.
5. Bittersweet memories, now that Rick Danko and Richard Manuel are gone.
Agreed, each of those points. To expand though:
1. Never have two prettier or more stylish men shared a stage...during Festival Express. Richard was the most soulful looking man I've ever seen. He was an exemplary looking man then. They all looked great. Shame he didn't look like himself at TLW.

I googled to find older pictures of him (Richard Manuel) and I see what you mean. There was nothing wrong with his looks back then. Shame he came across as wasted in The Last Waltz.
