Rick Danko question
Just a quick question, I was wondering if anyone knows the name of the song Rick Danko puts on in the studio in one of the interviews? Thanks

shareIt's called "Sip The Wine" and it came out on the 1999 release of Live from Breeze Hill.
It was also on his self-titlted debut album from the seventies.
shareI saw the entire page ad in Circus magazine and went out hunting for that record. My favorite piece off that album was "New Mexicoe".
I love that song New Mexicoe too.

I Adore Rick Danko with the band and as Solo artist.
He was an amazing man....
"When I was younger, I had big visions of changing the world."
second that, great voice
No Justice Just Us
But what caused his death?
"He who swaps his liberty for the promise of 'security' deserves neither." Ben Franklin
I believe it was a lot of things. His son had died a few years before during a hazing incident at college. I'm sure that in itself weakened Rick's will to live. Rick had a heroin addiction. He had developed heart disease and was probably diabetic. He inflicted a lot of wear and tear upon his body in his life. He was a massive partier. He toured when he should have been taking care of himself, but as a new documentary on Levon Helm puts it "I'm Not In It For My Health" Lifers in the rock industry really don't really, as a rule, have a long shelf life. They usually burn out rather than rust. Rick was put on Prednesone, a steroid that causes massive weight gain in certain individuals. All that, plus his constant touring and vices lead to his massive heart attack. At least he didn't drop dead on stage. He had come home from a show and died in his own bed.
YEAH, BUT THEY BREAK WHEN YA FALL ON'EM
wow. the last waltz.
