I Love this Film, However....

I could not stand Arthur...he was a complete prick. At the same time, the mother, Eve, also drove me CRAZY. I hate the way Paige enunciates, and while she's a good-to-great actress, I absolutely detested her whining character, even though I know she had some degree of mental illness.

Renata was a bit pretentious, but, I still very much enjoy the film. I love it's silence and dialog.....such a great departure from the big, loud, over-priced cap that's in most movies today, even the dramatic ones.

I know this is really vain of me but they way she wore her hair and dressed? For someone so into beauty she was very severe. I just can't see how someone who can put together an Interior like nobodies business could look in the mirror and be so harsh on herself.

I don't know what I would've done in Arthur's situation. I understood where he's coming from, wanting to live for himself and needing support from his girls, but he did do Eve pretty dirty. At the same time, she was bonkers. Too fragile.
