Yes, I'm watching it now. It's fantastic! It certainly deserves a higher rating.

I'm surprised it seems to be relatively little known, or at least relatively neglected now. As of today, there are less than 400 votes on IMDb for it, only 4 user reviews, 3 critic reviews and only 5 message board threads.

From what I remember, this film was fairly popular when it came out with kids and teens close to my age group at the time. I would think that more would be interested in it now due to nostalgia. I loved it as a kid and still like it now--I just watched it again yesterday for the first time in quite awhile and gave it a 7.5/10.

I agree. Disney made some classic comedies once upon a time. Kurt Russel made a number of them (computer wore tennis shoes, now you see him now you don't, the strongest man in the world) and others like this one and Pete's Dragon (also starring Jim Dale) and I remember seeing all of them and more on TV as a kid often. McGavin and Knotts made at least one other movie together (no deposit, no return) though I don't know if they only made the two or not.

My mother and I are actually watching this tonight on DVD. I have a big Disney movies collection! BTW - I gave this movie an 8/10 stars because I never tire of watching it! I wish Disney made more comedies today, like they did back then! They don't do comedy like they did back then!
