That scene when Jack Warden is watching the tv and says "Joe!" when the QB is obviously dying, and he turns to look at Julie Chritie - always gets me. Then when he is holding Joe's clarinet in the locker room just staring - always just finishes me off.

Even though Joe's memory was blanked, I always thought Max would realize it really is Joe's soul because Julie Christie falls in love with him.

Favorite line - I sometimes use myself, when Joe is fed up with Buck Henry: "Get out of here, you're bad luck!"

The original "Here Comes Mr. Jordon" with Robert Montgomery is also really good, but does not have the same emotional impact for me.

Thanks for sharing. The actual quote, however, is "Get out of here. You're bad NEWS!" I've used it myself many times, but only with my brother, since we both like this movie.
