heaven can wait is my favorite movie

"Heaven can wait" released in 1978. This movie falls into three categories comedy, fantasy, and romance. This was one of the first movies I saw was a young child that really touched my heart. The concept of the movie can best be described in my opinion is a classic example of second chances. The movie premise is about a man who played football for the Rams and was taken before his time by an overenthusiastic Angel. And in attempt to correct this injustice he was sent back to earth and a millionaire’s body. However the switch to the film or storyline if you will, would be the he actually remembers to the used to be. He struggles to find a way to complete his unfinished businesses. Meanwhile, he is trying to live within the confines of the millionaire’s life I viewed this movie when it first came out as a young child under 10. Growing up without a lot of the technology or and all the CGI of today. I feel I truly have a better appreciation of exactly what it takes to create illusions back in 1978. Sometimes today's technology and allusions actually distract from the storyline. When watching this movie I would recommend you pay special attention to the transitions shots in the use of camera angles to create illusions to fully appreciate the quality of work that this movie illustrates that the timing that it was made. Warren Beatty, James Madison, and Julie Christie are the stars in this movie. Warren Beatty along with Buck Henry directed this film.
Thank you in my opinion for creating the classic!

I used to say it's my favorite movie too. And I still love it.

But it really devolves into slap stick at the end a bit too much, and how on earth did they expect to get away with... spoiler.....killing Farnsworth by using a rifle shot from the wife's bedroom. I mean, simple logistics would have proven she did it.

I know but she was accomplice standing right next to the riflemen so what's your point?

Plus it was pure happenstance how his body fell in the well. They would have been caught red-handed with no chance to rid of the weapon. They would have been nailed (and were nailed). Still love the movie, but that rifle-shooting is a bit too over the top.

It's really unlikely they could have proven which direction the gun was fired from and besides, she didnt do it.
