Warren Beatty's Quarterback Skills

Warren Beatty sure seems to be in darned good form as a quarterback, he seemed to be quite adept at passing, even while in motion....at least for an actor.

Does anyone know if he did all the passing in the scrimmage/game scenes? Looks as if he had a pretty good arm, some of the passes he threw were pretty long...although I couldn't tell if it was him making each and every pass and not an actual quarterback.

Still...pretty good though.

Can anyone tell me why this last reply was deleted??? I don't recall seeing anything in it that was offensive.

In the IMDB trivia section, it states that Warren Beatty was offered various football scholarship right out of high school, but didn't accept any.

I don't believe this. He doesn't have the mechanics of a Quarterback. His foot work is terrible, kind of a dead give away. He is certainly a good athlete, but a High School Football prodigy. I don't see it.

He also seems much shorter than the 6'2" given on his bio page. Watch the scene where he is playing QB with the practice squad, he just looks too short compared to the real players like Deacon Jones.

The movie though is excellent.

I think we can safely assume then, that he was never keen to be cast in The Raging Bull.๐Ÿญ

He played high school QB but was never offered college scholarships. Basically that means he knows where to put his feet under center.

Films do magical things to make average actors look like exceptional athletes.
