I know I'm in the minority on this but every time I watch this movie and it gets better with age, I feel even more inclined against a sequel and the rest of the ridiculous franchise. I always loved the ending. Its timeless and its chilling. Scared my sister when she was a teen after seeing the remakes first. Any one with me?

shareI saw this movie in the theater when it came out and I have been saying the same thing for years. The story doesn't really have a sequel. He's the Bogeyman and he gets away on Halloween night. The end.
shareI agree with you on no sequels, although part 2 is somewhat passable. The rest are utter garbage however.
shareThe first is by far the best. I wouldn't have been sad if there were no sequels, but I do watch 2, 4, and H20 when they show up around Halloween.
