A walking person cannot catch up with a running person
Ruins the whole movie for me, this complete disregard for the precise rules of reality. Next time, put a trigger warning on the movie letting us know it's fiction!

shareJust because you have extremely low standards, doesn't mean we all should.
shareOk.
But it would appear you're thinking about a different movie because no such scene is in Halloween.
Right, that scene where Michael Myers is casually walking after Jamie Lee Curtis, who, granted, has a limp, is still running, is actually from the movie Kramer vs. Kramer... smh...
shareThere is no such scene in Halloween. Watch the film again. Michael does all his walking and catching up with Laurie while she is standing still, searching for her keys and trying to get Tommy to wake up and let her in.
You've failed massively there.

Have you kids seen any suspicious... continuity around here?
Clearly you're unfamiliar with The Tortoise and the Hare.
